Cruise reports 2000
19th April
Following a sunny day, the evening turned windy with some rain, but a
promising 40 cars attended. As the evenings get lighter the pub are hoping
to lay on the barbeque again.
17th May
Despite some really heavy rain there was another good 60 car turnout.
21th June
Although occaisionally being the organiser, I didn't make it until 9.30 due
to Cortina factors, but arrived to see a car park so full, cars were forced to park on
the roundabout.
19th July
Finally everything came together. We had decent weather at last; the landlady
put on a barbeque and around 100 cars turned up from all the local clubs. The
car park was as full as on the Drayton Manor cruise - it was packed really
densely with rows between the rows. Lots of good stuff to see. The only
slight downer were the few who decided to smoke their tyres as they left - fun
though it maybe, it can't happen at the Bowling Green or we will be asked to
leave.
16th August
A little quieter than last month as there seemed a threat of a downpour.
Once again the barbeque was laid on and maybe sixty cars turned out.
